Planting and Care

Pop Scabiosa 'Chile Black' in the middle of a flower bed. Its elegant and slim growth lets you see through to the flowers behind.

Into the Ground

  1. Dig a hole to at least double the width of the plant's rootball.
  2. Mix in some well-rotted compost or soil.
  3. Insert your plant, lining up the top of the rootball with the surface of the soil.
  4. Backfill around the roots and water it well.

Into a Pot

  1. Fill a pot at least twice the size of the plant's temporary container.
  2. Raise it onto pot feet to assist drainage.
  3. Add potting compost to the pot, filling up to about three-quarters.
  4. Insert your plant into the pot, lining up the top of the rootball with just under the pot's rim.
  5. Backfill around the roots and water well.
