Why We Love It

Brighten up your garden in winter and early spring with the pale yellow blooms of Coronilla glauca 'Citrina'.

This is an unsung winter hero, tolerating all weather, even exposed coastal sites.

How to Plant

Performs best in light, well-drained soil in a sunny position. Will tolerate a range of soil types.

Into the Ground
  1. Water your plant well.
  2. Dig through the soil to loosen it.
  3. Make a hole twice as wide as the rootball.
  4. Place your plant in the hole. Make sure that the top of the roots are visible and level with the surface of the soil.
  5. Backfill the hole, firming to remove air pockets.
  6. Firm the soil and water well. Leave 60cm of soil clear around your plant.
Into a Pot
  1. Cover the drainage holes in your pot using stones or pieces of broken pot.
  2. Add the compost to your container.
  3. Gently loosen the roots of your plant and place it in the container. Check that the top of the roots is level with the top of the compost, approximately 2.5 cm below the edge of the container.
  4. Fill the container. Firm the compost and water well.
