Why We Love It
Why We Love It
Charming annual Verbena 'Lanai Blue Eyes' gives you masses of little blue flowers on semi-upright, semi-trailing plants.
The sky-blue flowers tend to form attractive doughnut-ring clusters at first before filling out completely, a quirky trait of these pretty annuals.
In a sunny site your plant will flourish and give you a full summer season of blooms though fear not, it will tolerate part shade too.
How to Plant
How to Plant
Water well at planting time and twice daily morning and evenings if it's a hot summer.
Into the Ground
- Dig a hole to at least double the width of the plant's rootball.
- Mix in some well-rotted compost or soil.
- Insert your plant, lining up the top of the rootball with the surface of the soil.
- Backfill around the roots and water it well.
Into a Pot
- Pour a small amount of compost into the bottom of your chosen container.
- Put the plant in place and then back-fill soil around the rootball.
- Lightly water after repotting.
- The soil should be just damp enough that if you press your forefinger into the soil it is moist above the top of your nail.
- Regularly check the soil is moist but not soaking or sitting in water.
