Why We Love It

Up your hanging basket game with Pansy ‘Frost’.

This cold-tolerant trailing pansy has pretty blue and ice-white petals, and will spill out of pots and window boxes from autumn right through until the spring.

Underplant it with tulip bulbs for a sensational seasonal display as the weather warms up.

How to Plant

You can either plant your pansies straight in the ground or into a larger container.

Into the Ground

  1. Ease a plug out of the pot by pushing it from the base.
  2. Use a trowel to make a hole in the ground, just big enough for the root ball.
  3. Pop your pansy in place, then backfill the hole with soil or compost and firm the plant in.
  4. Repeat with the rest of your plugs, planting each one 10-15cm apart.
  5. Get out the watering can and give your pansies a drink.

Into a Pot

  1. Ease a plug out of the pot by pushing it from the base.
  2. If you're adding your viola to a larger container, make a hole in the compost, just big enough for the rootball.
  3. Pop your viola in place, then backfill the hole with compost and firm the plant in.
  4. Repeat with the rest of your plugs, planting each one 15cm apart.
  5. Get out the watering can and give your plants a drink.
