Why We Love It

'Rosetta' produces large, firm pale pink fruit which also keeps well on the bush.

The currants have an acidic flavour with a strong aroma and are suitable for a whole range of purposes.

Will grow well in most soil but prefers a sunny position.

Planting Calendar

Plant in September, October, November.

Harvest in June, July, August.

Planting and Care

The plant grows well in most types of well-draining soil of any pH level. Keep the soil moist and give it full sun or partial shade.

Into the Ground

  1. Dig a hole in the ground that's double the size of the rootball.
  2. Take your plant out of its pot and spread the roots a little.
  3. Place it gently in the hole.
  4. Coat the roots with compost.
  5. Pat the soil down and give your plant a good water.

Into a Pot

The most important thing when planting fruit in a pot is to be sure it has drainage holes and enough space for your herb to grow.

  1. Add some stones or gravel to your pot to help with drainage.
  2. Sprinkle in some soil then pop your plant in.
  3. Backfill the rest of the soil, firm up and then water.
