Why We Love It

Enjoy the shades of a Mediterranean evening in your garden with this sunset-coloured rose.

'Mamma Mia!' has orange pink-flushed flowers and is ideal for scented garden lovers filling your space with its strong fragrance.

With regular deadheading these flowers will repeatedly bloom over a long flowering season from spring through to autumn.

Dark-green foliage surrounds the colourful flowers adding interest to your outdoor space for most of the year.

This low-maintenance rose has great disease resistance so it doesn't need much TLC.

We love growing 'Mamma Mia!' in borders or creating a mini cut-flower arrangement to bring its scent indoors.

It's a compact variety which means it will also grow happily in containers too if you want to add some dazzle to your patio.

The decorative pot is sold separately.

How to Plant

Your 'Mamma Mia!' can be planted all year round, though spring and summer are the best times to do so. It's a fan of full sun and sheltered positions, and likes soil of any type – make sure it's moist and free draining. It will thrive in patches where roses haven't previously grown before.

Into the Ground

Time to give your rose a new home. You'll need a trowel, watering can, compost and mycorrhizal fungi.

  1. Prepare the soil by mixing in compost.
  2. Create a planting hole, ideally twice the size of the rootball, and add mycorrhizal fungi.
  3. Tease out some of the roots from the rootball, and place the rootball in the hole
  4. Backfill with soil and firm down
  5. Water in well and finish with a compost mulch around the plant
  6. In summer, water regularly and deadhead flowers after blooming
  7. Prune back your rose in late winter, and mulch generously.

Into a Pot

Your 'Mamma Mia!' grows perfectly in a pot. Get together a trowel, potting compost, mycorrhizal fungi and a watering can.

  1. Prep your pot by filling it with compost. Dig a hole double the size of the rootball and sprinkle in mycorrhizal fungi.
  2. Place in your rose, being sure to loosen some of the roots. Fill with compost, firm and water in.
  3. Finish with a mulch around the base. In warm seasons, water often and deadhead flowers.
  4. Winter is the ideal time for pruning back and applying a mulch.
