Into the Ground
- Dig garden compost or well-rotted manure into the soil before planting.
- Water the plant thoroughly around an hour before planting.
- Make a hole that's slightly wider than the rootball but the same depth.
- Remove the temporary container and plant at the same height as it was growing in the pot.
- Firm in and water well.
Into a Pot
- Find a pot that’s twice the size of the rootball.
- Ensure it has plenty of drainage holes.
- Fill with good quality compost.
- Make a hole that’s slightly bigger than the rootball.
- Place the plant into the hole at soil level.
- Firm in and water well.
