Why We Love It
Why We Love It
Often smelt before it’s seen, honeysuckle is a fragrant climbing plant suited to dreamy cottage gardens, sensory borders and wild havens.
Divine during the day, the heady scent is stronger at night.
Lonicera × americana a deciduous honeysuckle with firework-like flowers that open white and turn yellow and pink.
In autumn, the blooms give way to red berries.
Let it loose to ramble alongside a rose, or train it up an arbour for full-on romance.

Plant your honeysuckle in the ground.
Into the Ground

- Backfill the hole and firm it in.

- Find a pot that’s twice the size of the rootball.
- Ensure it has plenty of drainage holes.
- Fill with good quality compost.
- Make a hole slightly bigger than the rootball.
- Place the plant into the hole at soil level.
- Firm in and water well.
