Laburnum x watereri 'Vossii'

Once you've chosen the right spot for your tree, gather your spade, watering can and peat-free compost.

1. Dig a deep hole roughly twice the size of the tree's rootball.
2. Mix in a generous amount of soil and compost and add this into the hole.
3. Gently spread the roots of the tree and then place the plant inside the hole.
4. Backfill soil and water generously until set.

Your tree will grow perfectly well in a pot or container, as long as your pot has enough room for the plant to properly extend its roots. You'll need your spade and a watering can, plus soil and peat-free compost.

1. Sprinkle a little soil and compost in the bottom of your pot.
2. Add your tree, backfilling with soil, using your spade or hand.
3. Firm up and then water.
