Why We Love It

Bring some brightness to your garden with the sunny 'Korresia' rose.

In the summer and autumn it blooms with dense clusters of fragrant yellow double roses.

These flowers are sometimes followed by red or purple fruits depending on the variety.

This plant can grow to approximately 75 cm high and its bushy light green glossy leaves and beautiful blossoms will make an attractive border in your garden.

You can also cut its flowers to add colour to your home.

Remember 'Korresia' is more than just a pretty face.

Those delicate-looking petals conceal a hardy plant which can endure even very cold temperatures.

The decorative pot is sold separately.

How to Plant

Choose a spot where it will have sunshine for at least half the day. However, avoid a very exposed location, as it is sensitive to the wind.

Into the Ground

You'll need a spade, a fork, organic matter and general fertiliser to ensure a healthy plant.

  1. Mix some well-rotted organic matter into the top 20-30 cm of soil.
  2. Apply general fertiliser on the top of the soil.
  3. Dig a hole twice the width of the rose's rootball.
  4. Loosen the roots away from the soil if needed, to help them spread and develop.
  5. Place the rose in the hole and make sure the top of the plant is in line with the top of the ground around it.
  6. Backfill the soil.
  7. Use a balanced fertiliser in early spring and early summer.
  8. Mulch in winter and prune your rose at the beginning of spring by removing any dead and weak growths.

Into a Pot

Choose a container with holes in the bottom to allow the water to drain out. Grab a spade, a watering can and if possible, use a loam-based compost.

  1. Add the compost to your pot.
  2. Make a hole twice the size of your rose's rootball.
  3. Loosen the roots and spread them evenly around the hole.
  4. Fill the planter with compost, stopping between 3 and 5 cm from the top of the container.
  5. Water well.
  6. During the spring and summer fertilise regularly.
