Why We Love It

Whether you live in a traditional Victorian terrace or a contemporary apartment, the Parlour Palm blends in superbly with any style of interior décor.

Chamaedorea elegans, to use its botanic name, is elegant, easy to look after and helps to purify the air in our homes.

Bright-green leaves are held on slender, arching stems and panicles of small yellow flowers can appear on mature plants between spring and autumn.

Planting and Care

Into a Pot

  1. Choose a pot that’s slightly bigger than the plant's temporary container.
  2. Ensure the new pot has drainage holes so excess water can escape.
  3. Part-fill the new pot with a quality houseplant compost.
  4. Remove the temporary container and place the plant in the new pot, so the rootball sits slightly below the pot’s rim (it’ll prevent water from running over the edge).
  5. Fill the gaps around the edges with compost, firm in gently and stand the pot in a saucer..
  6. Water well to settle your new plant in.
