Why We Love It

'Tropical Summer' displays clusters of impressive trumpet-shaped orangey-red blooms.

Its vibrant flowers emerge from late summer to early autumn and this deciduous climber can reach an approximate height of up to five metres.

How to Plant

Position your Campsis in full sun and plant in moist but free-draining sand, clay, chalk or loamy soil of any pH level.

Into the Ground

  1. Find a sunny spot and dig a hole approximately twice the size of your plant's rootball.
  2. Fine grit can be added to the soil to improve drainage.
  3. Position the plant at the same depth it was in its temporary container.
  4. Fill around the roots with soil and gently firm down.

Into a Pot

  1. Choose a container at least twice the size of your plant and elevate using pot feet.
  2. Fill with soil and make a hole approximately twice the size of the plant's rootball.
  3. Position 'Tropical Summer' at the same depth it was in its temporary container.
  4. Backfill with soil and gently firm down.
