Why We Love It

Vinca minor f. alba (also known as lesser periwinkle) has white flowers from early spring into autumn.

An evergreen perennial, it's great for ground cover in shady parts of the garden especially under trees. If it starts to get a little out of control you can cut back and stems in spring.

How to Plant

Plant in the ground, in a bed or border.

Into the Ground

  1. Give your shrub a good water, so the plant is completely soaked through.
  2. Dig a hole a little deeper than pot depth and at least twice as wide.
  3. Tip the plant out of its pot, tease out a few roots.
  4. Place your shrub at the same level it was in its pot, and don’t bury any stems.
  5. Use your heel to firm the soil around the plant.

Into a Pot

  1. Find a pot that’s twice the size of the rootball.
  2. Ensure it has plenty of drainage holes.
  3. Fill with good quality compost.
  4. Make a hole slightly bigger than the rootball.
  5. Place the plant into the hole at soil level.
  6. Firm in and water well.
