Why We Love It

With streaks of flame red and sun-bright yellow the Rosa 'Little Sunset' will bring dramatic colour to your space.

Each boldly pigmented bloom on this bi-colour rose is small yet stunning giving you a flower that will look striking in a bed or potted on a terrace.

Naturally growing in clustered rosettes this short and perfectly-formed beauty will provide a show from June to October with some careful deadheading.

There's little to no fragrance surrounding it and it's modestly-sized at approximately 50 x 50 cm which makes it an ideal companion for a larger scented shrub rose.

Alternatively since it is of the patio variety place it centre stage in your container garden.

The decorative pot is sold separately.

How to Plant

Naturally disease-resistant and easy to grow, all the Rosa 'Little Sunset' needs is well-drained soil and a bit of light.

Into the Ground

The Rosa 'Little Sunset' can be planted anywhere. When planting in the ground, you'll need some compost, rose food, a watering can and a trowel.

  1. Water the potted rose well to loosen the roots.
  2. Clear the area of weeds and dig a hole twice the size of the plant's rootball.
  3. Add in compost for drainage and some granular rose food, then mix well.
  4. Remove the pot and position the rose so the union and approximately 2.5 cm of the stem are under the soil line.
  5. Hold in place and fill the hole halfway before firming. Once the plant is secure, fill in the rest and firm again.
  6. Water well until established.

Into a Pot

As a patio shrub rose, it does well in a pot, so choose a container twice the size of the rootball and remember your compost, trowel, watering can and rose food.

  1. Soak the roots of the potted rose.
  2. Take your new pot and mix compost, soil and rose feed in the base.
  3. After removing the old pot, place the rose union and some of the stem below the soil line.
  4. Fill up halfway with more soil/compost and firm while holding the rose securely. Once it's self-standing, fill up the pot and firm again.
  5. Water well.
