Why We Love It

The Rosa 'Dwarf Fairy' is a striking and attractive patio rose that works well against a range of backdrops. This compact shrub is much-loved for its double blooms, which arrive in gorgeous clusters of bright red in the summer months. The flowers also carry a delightful fragrance which will no doubt make your chosen spot popular with the local bees. With a bit of care and some regular deadheading, you can expect the plant to flower from June to September and return on command every year to bring a bit of shine to your garden. It's generally low maintenance and easy-to-grow, whether you choose to plant it in borders or beds or settle into a pot.

The decorative pot is sold separately. Find the perfect base for any style of planting, explore our full range of pots here.

How to Plant

The Rosa 'Dwarf Fairy' will prefer to be grown in a place that receives full sun, using moist, well-drained soil of any type. Be sure to choose a spot that hasn't previously grown any roses.

Into the Ground

When you're ready to get your 'Dwarf Fairy' into the ground, have your spade, watering tool and compost on hand. You'll also want some mycorrhizal fungi to help with root development.

  1. Prepare your chosen area so that it's free from weeds.
  2. Dig a hole that is twice the size of the rootball.
  3. Add in some compost and mycorrhizal fungi.
  4. Pop the plant in the hole.
  5. Backfill with soil, firm up and water.
Into a Pot

The 'Dwarf Fairy' will do well in a pot as long as it has plenty of space to spread. Gather your pot of choice, spade, watering tool and compost. Grab some mycorrhizal fungi too.

  1. Add compost and mycorrhizal fungi to the base of your pot.
  2. Gently tease the roots from the rootball and put your plant in place.
  3. Backfill with soil and then water thoroughly.
