Why We Love It

Boysenberry is a complicated cross between a blackberry, loganberry, dewberry and a raspberry! The fruit is round to oblong in shape and dark purple in colour.

They have a unique flavour that combines the tartness of good old-fashioned wild blackberries with a sweet hint of raspberry.

The berries can be eaten fresh or used for bramble and apple jelly or pie fillings.

Boysenberries are undemanding, drought resistant and extremely easy to grow.

How to Plant

The plant grows well in most types of well-draining soil of any pH level. Keep the soil moist and give it full sun or partial shade.

Into the Ground
  1. Dig a hole in the ground that's double the size of the rootball.
  2. Take your plant out of its pot and spread the roots a little.
  3. Place it gently in the hole.
  4. Coat the roots with compost.
  5. Pat the soil down and give your plant a good water.
