Why We Love It

This is an early-fruiting blackberry with no thorns - yay! The berries are large and firm and taste delicious.

It's a good cropper, meaning you'll get lots of fruit.

It's not as vigourous as other blackberries, so perfect for a small space.

Ideal for planting against a wall or a fence or growing in a container.

The fruit is easy to pick too, not hidden in among all the leaves.

How to Plant

The plant grows well in most types of well-draining soil of any pH level. Keep the soil moist and give it full sun or partial shade.

Into the Ground

  1. Dig a hole in the ground that's double the size of the rootball.
  2. Take your plant out of its pot and spread the roots a little.
  3. Place it gently in the hole.
  4. Coat the roots with compost.
  5. Pat the soil down and give your plant a good water.

Into a Pot

  1. Fill your pot with a good quality multipurpose compost.
  2. Make a hole that's twice the size of the rootball.
  3. Take your plant out of its container and gently tease out the roots.
  4. Place it carefully in the hole in your container.
  5. Add a little extra compost around the roots and firm the plant in.
  6. Give it a water and leave it in the sun.
