Why We Love It

The ‘Russian vine’ just loves growing and does so at a speedy pace.

By late summer this woody climber is completely covered with panicles of tiny pinkish-white flowers perfect for covering walls and attracting bees.

How to Plant

'Russian Vine' grows in any type of soil in full sun or partial shade. Water it generously when planting.

Into the Ground
  1. Choose a spot where the plant has plenty of space to grow.
  2. Dig a hole at least twice the size of the plant's rootball.
  3. Insert your plant into the hole, aligning the top of its rootball with the surface of the soil.
  4. Backfill the hole around the roots and water well.
Into a Pot
  1. Find a container at least twice the size of the one the plant came in.
  2. Raise it on pot feet to assist drainage.
  3. Part-fill with potting compost.
  4. Pop your plant on top of the compost.
  5. Fill in around the roots with more soil.
